I was actually working on a review of the Uncharted series. I'm not sure how ambitious I plan to be with the article...most likely it will just be something that gives a general overview of how the series evolved with each entry.

Yeah, I totally agree with that. You have to really fight through it and keep yourself motivated even when your mind doesn't want you to. I've been getting much better at it compared to how I used to be. Trying to keep myself busy as best as I can.

Haha yeah. I generally don't completely rush through a game either. XV I think took me under a week to beat. I got 100% on the game (all trophies) in ten days. I like to focus on one game at a time.

How come you'd consider yourself naturally impatient?

I've been okay. Just been looking for part time work and catching up on gaming. I wrote my first article on my blog yesterday, but it's not really anything important. More of just a statement of my goals for 2017 in gaming. :P

You're definitely right that those do help with depression. The problem is that depression takes away a lot of your motivation to cook, to exercise, or to do things you enjoy. So you end up cutting corners or not doing anything, and things just get worse. It's awful.

I find it kind of interesting how you take your time with a game. Usually it takes me a few days or a week tops to beat a new game, since I usually just play it nonstop. Of course with work and other responsibilities it does slow down, but I usually always find time to play. You seem like a very patient woman.

Yeah, that's what I'm looking for now. I don't want to do that kind of work unless I absolutely have to, and there's no other option for me.

I might get a chance to start FF1 this weekend. We'll see.

Well in my case, what usually happens is depression starts to take over and I don't feel like doing anything at all. I've barely played games at all this week. But I have been binge watching a lot of LOST instead, so that's cool. :P I actually thought the Pirate Ship was one of the coolest dungeons from that game.

Thanks, Victoria. I appreciate that. I think I'll be okay. This job is actually adding to it somewhat, and I intend to quit it. I've realized now what I need to do to get better, so I think I'm going to be all right in the end

I think I will commit to playing FF1 actually. After Uncharted 3, that is. I said I would play through the series and I have to stick to it. Even if that means putting Fire Emblem on hold.

There's no way I would beat you haha. Not until I log 350+ hours just like you did. :P

My schedule for the past week has been work the night shift, come home, relax for a bit, sleep until 6-7pm. Then I answer phone calls and messages and browse a few websites, eat, until I leave for work again at 10pm. It's an unhealthy cycle. I can't keep doing this.

It's really cool that you have so many hobbies. I want to branch out at some point too.

Yeah, I actually haven't had much time or motivation to write anything unfortunately. I started up FF1 and then got Fire Emblem, and I also wanted to start up Uncharted 3 again. I don't want to juggle too many games at once though. Makes writing about one thing difficult. So I want to take things one step at a time.

You can battle other people in FE? I had no idea. That's super cool. You should come over and battle me. :P

I'm glad you enjoyed the dungeon by the way. I guess you only get a few hours a day to play games? What do you usually do most days?

I actually just made it already. Haha. No posts yet, but I plan to write something up tonight. It was really hard figuring out how to use the website but I think I got it down now.

350 hours? Wow...you really do like it. I'm guessing you've played on Lunatic difficulty too then? I'm only at chapter 2...I've been busy watching some esports so I haven't given the game as much attention as I want to.

The Ancient Cistern is an AMAZING dungeon. I loved it so much. Man, you really make me want to go back and play it. I'm actually thinking I will...

Well I just gave you some ideas, silly. :P It doesn't have to be something long. It can be concise and to the point. You really just want to hit the key points of introducing yourself, tell the employer what position you are applying for and where you found it, attach your resume, state where you can be contacted, and thank them for their consideration. That's how I've done it.

It wouldn't be a blog on the forum. I was going to make one on an actual site to hopefully get more traffic. I'll probably include the link in my signature somewhere as well.

I think Awakening is a really solid game so far. Everything about it in terms of gameplay, presentation and customization seems incredible. I definitely want to invest a lot of time on this one.

Oh a cover letter is easy. I actually just use a template that I insert the company name/position into as I apply to each different position. I opted for short and sweet, stating where I found the position, that I am interested and have provided my resume, and can be contacted at my e-mail address. I find it's fairly effective. I can help you if you want.

Thanks for checking it out btw. And yeah, that's actually been one of my goals for a long time. In fact I have actually been thinking about turning this into my own personal blog. It will be good writing practice and I can possibly even build up a following. Would you check it out if I made one? I'm not sure how exactly I'll do this...I might write an entire article on my blog and post a short summary from it in the thread.

Also...I picked up Awakening just now. I plan on playing it starting today.

Actually I may be working there again after all haha. I really didn't like the hours and working 6 days a week was pretty terrible to me. However they're likely going to put me on the night shift now with only 5 days a week. It's a huge upgrade and I'll be much happier.

Have you heard back from the hotel yet? How's your jobhunt going?

Your chances are pretty good if your sister recommended you. It's pretty likely for someone to get a job if they have a contact who worked there. Best of luck to you

Haha yeah I agree with that. I do think it was a really good dungeon. Actually, I think I'll replay Skyward Sword much sooner than I originally planned. I haven't played it in over 5 years since it first came out. Wow.
