I keep thinking you’re someone you’re not
I dont think you really get cats in outer space though.
a name of someone who likes cats i suppose
I find it easier to motivate myself when I have either fans (of my fanfics for example) or I'm collaborating (like FFX-3). I hope that I've been encouraging. So if you played the BDM who would you pursue?
Oh, I really like that. Because of the complexity of the systems involved and the massive amounts of characters involved, I think I'm going to take the Pokemon idea and work it into an RPG more like final fantasy. I had some great ideas fleshed out that didn't quite work well with the Pokemon setting too that I can impliment now. I guess I'll just keep wading from project to project until I find one that I can finish. Your characters are always very vivid. If you could learn flash, I'm sure that would be a great game. I'd want to play.
The antagonists: Transept is an angel who used to follow Shin, but became disgusted with his grap for power. He's noble and unselfish, and his tradegy is that he opposes a Shin that now has a conscience. Stephanos is a scientist who helped develop the computer that runs Bloodlink in addition to enhancing Geli. He also turned on Shin when he killed Arashi, Nami's mother. He is cold and ruthless, except to Nami, his daughter. I posted some artwork of Bloodlink on the Artist Forum. It's titled 'The Six Realms' because I realize six of the characters represent the six realms of existence in Bhuddism.
His new followers: Nami is a mermaid that Dmitri befriends before Shin posseses him. She is shy and naive, but is more loyal to her master's human side. She is the daughter of one of his former followers who turned on him. Spike is Dmitri's pet monster, turned by Bloodlink into a human form. She is a friendly goofy airhead who is easily startled and scared but is very loyal to her master.
The second is a Bloodlink, which I want to make a Flash RPG, but I may have to try a Flash dating sim first (which is much easier to program). It's a dark fantasy involving a legendary demon named Shin possesing a human named Dimitri, who then goes and recruits new followers (and some old ones). Eventually they revive his alien starship, Bloodlink. His old followers are: Geli is a cyborg who has been implanted with goggles to correct her blindness. She is directly linked to the mainframe and acts as strategist in combat. She seems very cold and emotionless when Dmitri/Shin revives her, but as Dmitri humanizes Shin she responds to that. Esperanza is a kitsune or fox spirit. She was saved from a sideshow by Shin and becomes his most fanatical follower. She can shapeshift into various avatars, but her two most common is a fierce amazon form and a demure religious sister type. She is only friendly with Geli, who she regarded as an older sister.
The main antagonist is Penumbra, a necromancer who wears a dark veil and appears in Cassandra's dreams, claiming to be her long-lost mother. And although she is plotting a three-way war between the cities she seems to genuinely care for Cassie. There's a host of secondary characters including golems, half-orcs and vampires, who act as flunkies to the main characters. I've tried to make this game twice, once on RPG Maker and once on RPG Maker 3. Both times I've been good at character and dungeon design (which I find the most fun) while monster encounters suffer (I find it tedious).
I've got two: Crison Cadre is a fantasy RPG about three societies in conflict: Aetheria, Concordia, and Effluvia. The main character is Cassandra, a young Aetherian woman who is training to become a knight. Her father is General Lot, who is the regent of Aetheria, and is a great warrior and wise ruler, but is hobbled by crushing guilt. Cassandra (or Cassie) is actually an Effluvian war orphan that was presented to Lot by one of the Controllers of Effluivia after he led a sucessful assult that defeated Effluvia. The Controller in question is Sophia, who has since then been sent as the Effluvian ambassador to Aetheria. She has become a substitute mother of sorts to Cassie, who is trying to matchmake her with her father. While they do like each other a lot, both are held back by their professional duties of state.
