It does, actually, because I moderate this forum and thus am allowed am allowed to exercise my own discretion when doing so. Your topic wasn't clear at all. Maybe if it had been, I wouldn't have closed your thread. Would it have been so hard to say all of that in the post?

You want to talk about football, open a thread about football. If you want to talk about controversies, make that clear. Don't start off with some vague trivia about one of your local landmarks that no one else will get. Leaving a link to a Wikipedia article in the edited notes for people to figure out themselves isn't good enough - the topic should be apparent and not leave people wondering what the thread is about, as I did when looking through it.
