Not responsible?! Do you blame the Serbs and their nationalistic nonsense? Or maybe the black hand for their terrorism? I suppose the blame for them could go back to the Serbian government supporting the operations. Maybe you blame Russia? If they hadn't rushed troops to the borders you may have felt a bit safer. Its hard to feel safe about Russia though, with their crazy national growth and the appearance their military is that strong. I suppose if you do that, you'll have to blame France as well, what with their troops on the opposite border. It IS pretty convenient to blame England though. If they had just said right out that they're gonna jump in if you invade France instead of waffling about you wouldn't have been so confident in your assurances to Austro-Hungaria that it would be an easy, good time. Maaaaybe you could blame that empire, but are not their actions really your fault all along? Do you think America ever feels left out? Nobody ever blames them for WWI.

Haha! I've used QI as justification to my family that I can continue to crack my knuckles.

It doesn't cause arthritis, Stephen Fry said so.

Well yes, but I doubt many people would know that, or believe that a peoples with a name as awesome as the Golden Horde exist outside of a fantasy novel.

Other

Been re-sending the Childe Cycle, from whence my sobriquet originates, and am surprised anew by how appropriate it is.

I picked the name Bleys because I thought it was cool, but I have a lot in common with Bleys Ahrens.

Ahrens lives in a universe in which humanity outside of Earth has divided into 3 main "splinter cultures": the mystical Exotics, the militaristic Dorsai, and the fundamentalist Friendlies. He is part of a group called the Others, which are

Wisdom and age

by Citizen Bleys on 02-07-2017 at 12:37 AM
When I was in my 20s, there's a story I loved to tell. It's a true story.

When I was going to college, I moved in with my father. The first big snowstorm of the year, he and I went out to shovel the driveway. My father is an engineer, and he spent quite some time looking over the driveway and the available tools and deciding on the most efficient way to do the job with minimal effort. I, on the other hand, grabbed a shovel and started moving snow.

By the time he

I'm not a religious man, but I've recently discovered that my cat is a Protestant.

I found a dead cardinal on my doorstep.

Wrong

by Citizen Bleys on 04-27-2015 at 04:19 AM
A woman recently asked me, "How do you view lesbian relationships"?

I thought to myself, " Well, this is dangerous, but on the other hand, it's an open-ended question, surely it's safe to answer "

Apparently not

APPARENTLY, this was a question with right and wrong answers

And apparently," 1080p fullscreen " was a wrooooooooonnnnnnnggg answer"

Micturated off

by Citizen Bleys on 04-08-2015 at 03:42 AM
I'm beginning to grow annoyed by people claiming that technology is destroying society. Yes, young people prefer their tablets and phones to "traditional" activities like family diners- but what does this replace? What was the most common thing people did before the internet? smurfing war, that's what. Tech is bringing the internet inti homes, and that is making people interact with others from other countries and philosophies and thereby find out that such is not evil. Yes, we still
