I'm not entirely sure that I'm taking a break yet. I might be able to juggle between this and offline life. For now I'm just not getting on chat anymore until some of the things in my life are worked out. I'm giving myself some time before I decide to take a break from here. So no worries!

You don't sound like a jerk. If anything you just have me more curious to listen to which stuff they released in these songs. I'm just not much in the mood for metal today. I think they're sound is probably going to change again to more of what you might have been expecting or something in the future as the keyboardist is going off to college and I think they are going to have to change what they do.

The person who mixed it was always putting it on the back burner so I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't put his full effort into it.

Again I haven't listened to what was released, but the lack of variety in sound kind of seems surprising to me. It's been a while since I've been to one of their shows. Part of the thing is that their fan base is obsessed with their keyboardist so I think the guitarist added in a bunch of extra keyboard stuff (which I think is in the second song? I don't know the names really) to appease those fans. I'm not sure about guitar solos. Might be on the better songs on the cd. Anyways, I heard some of the mix downs, and I felt like there was good variety in there, I could be remembering wrong though.

I think I told you about my old roommate's technical death metal band when we talked about metal one time. They've released two songs from their album to listen to if you want to check them out. Kaiju | Kaiju I honestly haven't listened to it yet and don't know how it compares to what I've heard live, but I'm sure it's good.
