The Captain

Not to sound gay or anything.
It's innocent and perfected... this sounds like something
A girl would say to a great guy like you:

"The eyes that make mine lower
A laughter that gets lost on his mouth
There is the portrait without retouchings
Of the man which I belong to

When he takes me in his arms
He speaks me all bottom
I see life in rose (pink)
He tells me words of love
The words of every day
And that made me something"

Unfortunately, I'm not too fluent in French, which I believe is the language of those lyrics.

Do you by chance have a translation? Also, is it by Grace Jones?

Whitman is one of my favorities too, though I hope I don't meet the same fate as the Captain in the poem.
