So how come you've never replied to my "the cause of the gay" thread in EoEO?

I was going to make this into a thread but realised quickly that the anti-racist-woe-is-me-everything-is-your-fault mentality that permeates this forum would make it sound like I'm trolling. Which I probably am. Anyway, you're always fond of trying to basically argue 'but racism' and getting shouted down. I have an argument for you:

racism against blacks is unjustified. It is just individual incidents aggregated by stereotype.
therefore, white privilege doesn't exist. It is just individual events aggregated by stereotype

I caught you and shorty discussing Card, and his weird self. I thought I'd chime in with the fact that I enjoyed the Shadow story line. Speaker for the Dead is his best work.

I KNOW. Isn't that so weird? I have to be honest, I think his fantastic writing was just a fluke with Ender's Game and Speaker. I've tried to read Xenocide so many times and I'm bored to death by the fourth chapter.

Don't even bother picking up the Shadow series. If I didn't love the originals so much, it would have left a bad taste in my mouth for anything that Card has written.

I will say, though, I find the jump between Ender's Game and Speaker to be pretty refreshing. There was really no need to linger on with anything in relation to Earth or Battle School, or anything in between. It was a completely new story line and I loved it equally as much as it's predecessor.

I'm actually planning to get some tattoos of mental images I have of each book~ They've been my favorites since I was ten.

As I said, it's an experience thing. =] Everyone goes through it... some faster than others, some later than others, but we all get there.
