Well, the trickiest part for just starting off is basically getting the right equipment. It's not too bad, but it might cost a little bit unless you already have some of the required stuff. In my case, I already had about half of the equipment needed. While you don't really need anything more expensive or hard to come by than a large boiling kettle, the quality of your equipment does matter and there are some recommended but not required things that could cost just a little bit extra, but are still worth getting. Overall, I had to pay about $100 to get all the equipment I needed.

Aside from the equipment, you will also need a place to store the beer that can keep a prefered temperature while hidden from sunlight.

I'm so glad you said i can go for that reason because i was just gonna stay around and pee everywhere.

I've finished brewing my first beer! It turned out surprisingly well considering it's the first I've ever brewed. It's a 6% porter. A little bit on the sweet side for a porter though. I still haven't managed to come up with a name for it.

Also, I'm now in the middle of making a brutal 13-14% Quadrupel. Can't wait to see how that one turns out. It will take at least half a year until it's finished though.
