How can you tell if they are right or not?

In my experience, customers are always right. But then I work in a shop that only serves people if they are right.

I don’t talk to them—that is not my job—but just thinking about it sickens me. I know, because I have been a customer before, and I’m not always right. Not even when I have been a customer.

I wouldn't expect you to be the kind of person to be all polite to the customer, you have way too much swank for that. Just tell them "Shove it" in that manner.

The oil scaldings and oven burns are nothing compared to the Horrors of pretending that the Customer is always right.

You get used to it.
