I’ve been told something very similar before, from an Irish man. But he was... much more militant. He told me about how when he was a young lad (7?) he could only handle a handful of drinks before passing out. But now, apparently, he can out-drink a battlecruiser. Hmm. I wonder if I understood him correctly, now that I think about it. I have a lot of trouble understand the Irish.
