That's confusing. I don't know! Maybe the 2nd game was so crazy and unlike Final Fantasy 1 that 3 went back to what 1 was.

How come in the description for the Final Fantasy III forum it says: ‘returned it to its roots.’ How the smurf can you return something to its roots in only the third installment? kikimm might know because she knows a lot about final fantasy.
