My memory is really bad in the short terms. I can remember my first christmas but I can't remember what I had for dinner two nights ago.

I get you. My friends keep telling me the same thing. Like, go on and on about my memory. And then so now, when I forget things, I start thinking WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME I'M DYING. When it's probably just that now that they comment on my memory, I notice it more when I don't remember. Does that ever happen to you?
