Nah, they’re not big enough to do that. They still have to tear it to chunks to carry home, but they just get the job done quicker than the smaller ones.

Something else I’ve noticed about them is that they seem to exhibit more individualistic behavior than their smaller cousins. Not like a lone dog or anything, but definitely closer to other solo hunting insects. They just don’t seem as robotic as the smaller ones. I still like the little ones better though, because they are almost like perfect war machines. If I was an ant.

Can they actually carry that whole thing? That whole mouse? Or just tear big bits from it? Either way, that's vicious.

They are actually pretty big, for an ant. They bite, too, and it hurts. Several times bigger than the small ones. They are rarely seen hunting in troops, unless they have to deal with a big animal like a dead mouse or something.

Now I just squashed an ant. Should I feel guilty?

There are big ants. Big ants and small ants. They are different types of ant. At first glance, one might think the big ant would overpower the smaller one, and it’s true IF the two ants are alone. However, since the bigger ants usually hunt alone, but the smaller ants prefer to hunt in brigades, the smaller ants outnumber the big (one ant on each leg to eventually tire the big ant out and kill it )

I dunno...let's say no, for the heck of it. A couple days ago I saw an ant carrying another ant on top of its head. It was so weird. I was like what the smurf is that? Idiot.

A lot of insects seem to run almost like computer programs. I wonder if they feel at all.

They're pests. Not animals. They spread disease! And they have no souls.
