I did this weird thing while I was sleeping. I don’t know why, but while I was in a kind of half awake state, I started reaching for... chicken strips. It was weird, because I wasn’t even having a dream about work. I was grasping around on my computer chair (which was next to my bed), trying to get one, and then I knocked the few albums and one book that were on the seat onto the floor. What the smurf? As if that wasn’t weird enough, I got out of bed, turned the light on, and kept looking. I did give up, but it wasn’t until the morning that I realized that I was doing something completely smurfed up.

You shouldn't let anyone catch you doing that.

Then it is left up to the flip of a coin. Or a roll of a die, if more than one person is involved.

In this particular scenario, no.

There are much more variables that must be considered. Is the other person black?

What if they are pitted against someone slightly less qualified, but much nicer to deal with?

Sure.

Do people like that deserve promotions?

I checked, and indeed, it is Energizer.
So what? He’s still an asshole. An effective asshole. Hardworking, and so forth. But his personality sucks.
