Perhaps. But that is not Conan’s plan. Conan is not evil, and hypnotists are. He was just trying to amuse, and it worked. He definitely knows how to do his job.

This reminds me of a trick Conan O’Brien used to use to hypnotize the audience. It didn’t work, but it was fun to watch.
