True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment...“Way back then, the spirit was that we weren’t making a product but a creation. It was putting our soul into the production – pouring all of your ideas into the game, even if they crop up during development; not saving anything for the sequel.“So when you finish, you’re empty – you’ve got no idea what to do next. But by pushing yourself forward, new things come to light. I think it’s good if that spirit is continued forward with Final Fantasy from here on.” — Hironobu Sakaguchi

Final Fantasy has always been one of the best series, but some would argue its entered its Dork Age, and that it has really lost its self. The other issue is that some games do things really well compared to FF and you have to wonder why Squenix doesn't give some of this love to the main series. This is not to say that these games are better than FF, rather they have some particular elements that make them stand out among their peers, and I often wonder why the rest of the genre hasn't jumped on

So I finished Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor last night, I ended up going the Law route and went with Amane so I can finally get some answers to wtf was going on.
For those who don't know, this game is on the DS and is basically the MegaTen franchise trying its hand at SRPGs like FFTactics or Ogre Battle. Your units are teams made up of one human and two demon partners. Humans gain skills by targeting certain enemy skills and killing the target that carries the skill, while demons

It seems like everyone is finally getting around to play this game lately, so I'm going to add to it cause I finally finished it last night. I still haven't picked up the UPlay dungeon or the DLC but I finished the main game and got all trophies.
AC2 is a pretty damn awesome game and has finally propelled the AC franchise as one of the best new franchises to emerge this console generation. Sad to say, AC2 is probably the best game I've played on the PS3 so far. Which is remarkable

So I finally got off my ass and played through Assassin's Creed 1. Yeah, I know I'm half a decade behind the rest but I've been busy. I was thinking of making a thread but figured a blog review or final thoughts would work better since it is such an old game. Anyway... my thoughts:
Story and Characters: The plot of the game is intriguing, a little weird but once you quickly accept the Animus, everything else doesn't feel out of place. The game has a pretty good cast of characters who

So as some of you may have known, I've been working on a project to discover the Ultimania style books of VI. Last year, I acquired some of the original books from Japan and I've finally been able to upload them here on this site. I'm basically asking to see if anyone would be interested in helping translate some of the books. Its pretty short, and I'm mostly interested on the sections about the history and International Situation.
There is some great artwork here for people to see
