yes, every guest you have in your party is 2 levels higher than person with the highest level in your group, this dosent just apply for reddas, but also for Larsa and other people

My party was at 61 and he joined at 63.
But they never level up. I always thought that was kinda lame.

the good thing i got with Larsa was that he used hi potions with his own stock, not watseing yours!

i never put berserk on him, he was good at getting combos i remmeber that, and he saved my a$$ alot of times when i was trying to get the optional espers

Just a note, take the advantage of having Reddas in your party when you want to do sidequests, hunts etc. He helps alot.
