So, what do you think is the best thing about FF5? I think it's the way that all the jobs look unique on each person, and Galuf was just awesome.:D

just the job system as a whole
THE JACKEL
-Jobs
-Story
-Galuf
-Gilgamesh (DUH)
-Yeah, music too (how could I forget this one?)
Job system.
Transvestite pirates.
Lighthearted story.
Music.
The Job/Ability battle system is the best part about the game, IMHO. The storyline and characters are pretty well done, although they aren't as deep as in many other FFs. Gilgamesh is a great side character, though, and his theme song is excellent. I think FFV also has the best "Light Warriors who are chosen to save the Crystals" setting out of the FFs that have a setting like that (i.e. FFI, FFIII and FFV).
Lenna's sprites are adorable.
Gilgamesh
And the exchanges between Butz and Guido.
Krile as a White Mage.
The well-done Job system and Gilgamesh, mostly.
The Music, Job System and Omega and Shinryuu are the main reasons why I enjoyed playing it so much.
The boss battles too were much more challenging than any FF I'd played prior to V, and actually made me think about the fight and sometimes use a tactical approach to it instead of just bashing away at them until they died.
X-Death and the fact that Galuf (SPOILER)dies are the only things that disapointed me about it.
Dude, (SPOILER)Galuf's death was f-in epic.
Gilgamesh, but mostly when he helped you out in the Cleft of Dimensions dying. And the ending. I like funny, but dramatic is better.
As others have said, the job system, gilgamesh and the whole humorous script.. its probably the funniest FF overall (FF IX coming as a close second)
The superbosses of course also added that something more
