Great Adventure
This weekend was the first time I ever drove a long ways by myself. I drove 120 miles to Fayetteville, AR to interview for an Honors Fellowship and drive 120 miles back home!
With no incident! So now I've proven to my parents that I can be capable of long distances (I didn't stop on the way there or back :O) which is handy, because I want to take a long road trip this summer.
So, where did you go for your big coming-of-driving-age expedition? Or have you been on it yet?

... 120 is like, super weaksauce.
First time I ever drove a very long distance by myself was November 2005, and it was 350 miles going up to San Francisco, 350 miles coming down to Los Angeles. I started hallucinating a bit during the drive. It was veeeeery long and boring and lonely.

it's forever more than ten miles, which is what the record was before!
-
I drive 80 miles a day to and from school. I really haven't gone anywhere far away by myself yet....

My longest drive was last week in fact, it was from Manchester to London. Not an awfully long drive, but seeing as I literally just got my license, it was quite a big leap for me in terms of driving. Not helping the matter, I had to drive from about 2am-7am, and seeing as I have to have it my way, I had the heating on full blast the whole way, making me very tired, safety comes second in my book. The worst part wasnt on the Motorway though, when I arrived in London, all the congestion you get in the city had to require me to be on my toes throughout, which I could barely handle.
The highlight of the trip was when I got a Mcdonalds breakfast at 6 something on the motorway. Hash Browns :)

I drove from my hometown to Seattle, which would be in the region of 350-400 miles.
I had to confirm the disappearance of a lost friend.
-
I drive from home to here, which is about 280 miles.
-
I drove 200 miles once, but I wasn't alone as I don't have a driver's licence yet. That was enough for me :mog:
-
I drove part of the way to Florida when I had my Learner's Permit. Maybe ~400 miles of it.
I take a 100 mile trip about once every week or two.
-
I don't drive because I hate driving.
-
25 miles to Edinboro for a concert! I live dangerously. 8-)

ive driven like 250 by myself its kinhda boreing by yourself though.
ive driven like 400+ with a car full of friends. drove from my town to boston and out of boston to a few other towns. we didnt have much of a destination just looking for a place to skate because we're cool like that :p also my friend may have payed me $100 to dirve him out there to see his gf.
road trips are fun with friends everyone singing like an idiot, screwing around at rest stops, playing in stand still traffic. jsut remember to take lots of pictures wherever you go.

It's ~170 miles from my house to my college. I drive up and back about 6 times a year (so 12 trips total). I haven't driven much longer than that by myself (maybe 200 miles maximum), though traffic has on occasion made it so long that it lasted as long as a 250+ mile drive. And I've been driving 100+ miles fairly regularly (2+ times a month) since I was 16. Right after getting my license I was driving the ~100 miles to my dad's house by myself.

If you want to call a 220 odd drive far, that's one thing.
But a few years back I took off on spring breeak and drove over 2000 miles to see my buddies in NY.

A little over 1000 miles to Portland, Oregon.
