Fight to the Death!

Alright, let's discuss the best RPG series out there. What do you think it is? Why do you feel it's so good?


Note: To keep this interesting, I will not place FF or DQ related games, as well SRPGs of the likes of Nippon Ichi's Disgaea series. MegaTen games have been clumped together so Persona and Shin Megami are counted as part of the same series (even though they only share game mechanics).

Also, I only counted games that have at least three games within their series. Chrono Trigger>Radical Dreamers>Chrono Cross cause I know how much you people love to be technical:rolleyes2

Also I am not placing Zelda in this either since there is major debate in the gaming community as to wither Zelda counts as an RPG.

Chances are someone is going to muck this up but I'll be kept entertained for awhile at least;)

Breath of Fire is the only game on that list I played more than one of and actually liked them all. I haven't played Breath of Fire V. xP

EDIT: Well, Pokemon, but Breath of Fire is better.

Definately Xenosaga.

However, Breath of Fire is awesome. Haven't played much of IV, though II and III are amazing. II I love in part because of the slightly anti-religious tone with the whole Eve church thing going on.

Breath of Fire is superior. Actually I was considering Chrono, but I've only played Chrono Trigger, but I've played more than one BoF. So BoF it is.;)

Phantasy Star and Grandia are a tie.

I was torn between MegaTen and Grandia, but MegaTen inches it out for me.

Tales Of... Tales of Phantasia, Destiny, Eternia, Abyss, and Symphonia all are great. However Grandia and Xenosaga come close.

But I also like the Chrono, Xeno, and Grandia series as well......

Pokem... I mean Elder Scrolls!
