I put up this thread because they are both so cool but I'am leaning onto to getting Wyrmhero because of its high evade rate. Yet again Tournesol could pack quite a punch with a 140 attack power. So I want to see what everyone elses decision.

The wyrmhero is too slow it has the same speed as a gun
Well thats fast enough for me where I'm at in the game anyway.
Dont you have to beat yiazmat to get the wyrmhero blade
The Tournesol is the biggest pain to get in FFXII, but it is definitely worth it. It is arguably the best weapon in the game.
Compared to the Zodiac Spear, the Zodiac Spear is 10 attack points stronger, and slightly faster. However, the Tournesol has 17 more evasion points than the Zodiac Spear, and a much higher multi-rate. Also, unless you knew about the Zodiac Spear before you even started FFXII, or are playing a second game, you most likely screwed up your chances of getting it already (unless you want to try for the one in the Henne Mines; only a 1/1000 chance!).
The Wyrmhero Blade has 50 evade, a ridiculously high multi-hit rate, gives Auto-Bravery and Auto-Faith, and its only 10 attack points less than Tournesol. However, it is the slowest weapon in FFXII, and you can only obtain the Wyrmhero Blade after both Omega Mark XII and Yiazmat, the most powerful monsters in the game, are defeated. When you finally have the Wyrmhero Blade, you will basically have nothing to use it on. The only things you will probably have to use it on are (if you skipped these): Optional Espers, Demon Wall, Earth Tyrant, King Bomb, most of which are probably too easy for you by the time you get the Wyrmhero Blade.
So, to answer your question, get the Tournesol. The Wyrmhero Blade is mostly just for show.

what if one would cast haste on the character that carries the tournesol??? would that increase it's attack speed??
The poll and the OPs question I would answer in two different ways.
The Wyrmhero is blade is clearly better with status effects, HUGE combo rate, high evade and it looks awesome.
But you're asking which you should get, and there's pretty much no way you'll ever need wyrmhero blade once you get it because you have to have done so much in the first place. Get the tournesol if you really want to, I'm sure it's useful. But I never bothered as it took too long and wasn't THAT much better than Ultima Blade or Ragnarok.
Add to that the fact that when using bravery, berserk and haste on some with the masamune you usually do very fast, very long combos (got an 11 combo once) of 9999. It was my usual technique for bosses and its much better than I could have done with tournesol.
