This is so hard to decide. Personally I believe Square made 3 great RPG's on psx that outdid their great predecessors in almost every category (opinion, people). Recently my thoughts on IX have dropped for lack of originality. I'm really starting to appreciate XII, but I dont think I'd put it on their level. for some reason. X is also tough because i still feel like it's too new.
At the same time IV's story is epic, V has music that really reaches out and touches you, and VI is a really moving game.
But to me it's between VII and VIII but, like in the other thread, I really can't decide.
VII wins for me, i love others so much but VII was what brought me into final fantasy so i will always love it the most

I'm not finished with IX yet, but so far I adore it in almost every way.
Final Fantasy VI is the best. I haven't played Final Fantasy XII yet, but I can't imagine it being too much better than FFVI.
