normally i wouldn't set foot in here, and perhaps it would be best put in the help forum, but i think it will get a better response here.

anyway, i recently made my own sig which i really like, and it was within all limits by the guidelines of pixels and kb, but then i hosted it on photobucket and linked it through that site. when it's linked, somehow the size in kb triples, which brings it to almost doubly over the limit in the guidelines....will it help if i use a different method than the 'IMG' tag, or am i just destined to have a text signature?

you can save the sig in another format. Did you save it as PNG? PNG is big in kb so you should try JPEG or GIF if it doesn't look bad.

Well, you have to plan for the image size to be larger than you expect, so when I save my sigs I keep them around "20kb" to ensure they're only like 30-40kb in reality. And make sure copied the actual URL and not the share URL.

Also I never use the bbcode for my sigs, but that's just me.

Ok, save it as a jpg. then upload at pb..

When you have done so use the link from the IMG box, you should be fine after that, if not try checking your save size..
