What's your favorite more-obscure synonym for a commonly used word?

Well hello there thread. :love:

And for clarity! Avarice came first!

Avarice = Greed > Pride > Envy > Lust > Gluttony > Wrath > Sloth

By the way, I originally was going to go with the name greed, but then I wanted Greediness, and then that just kinda sounded wonky, so then I was all "Oh Avaricious!" then I figured Avarice-ness would be more witty. Thus my coolness was born and thrown apon ya'll.?

I recently found Odious is another word for Hateful or somesuch. Derived from the Latin Odium.

Odium sounds like a radiactive element
