Dirty Disney
There are a lot of urban legends regarding Disney films, some true, most not. However, I'm surprised no one has ever mentioned a big thing I've heard in The Lion King. During the song, I Just Can't Wait To Be King, (it can also be heard on the soundtrack) Zazu calls Simba an exlpletive.
Simba (Singing): I'm gonna be a mighty king, so enemies beware
Zazu (Singing): Though I've never seen a king of beast with quite so little hair
Simba (Singing): I'm gonna be the mane event like no king was before
I'm brushing up on looking down, I'm working on my roar
Zazu (Singing): Thus far a rather uninspiring thing
Simba (Singing): Oh, I just can't wait to be king
Zazu (Speaking): You've got quite a long way to go, you bastard, if you think
Now, because this line is spoken, you won't find it in the lyrics, but I can assure you if you listen to this song, albiet in the movie or the soundtrack, you will hear this line. With all the Disney rumors out there, I'm surprised no one else I know has ever noticed this. People are usually quick to jump on Disney even if something's not true. I say more power to them. They don't have to stay all goody goody. They can throw the word bastard in there as much as they want. I don't care.
Also, I apologize if I spelled Zazu's name incorrectly.

I thought he said 'young master', which is what this site says, http://www.lionking.org/scripts/Script.txt and what makes a lot more sense :p Zazu could probably say 'young master' in the same tone that he might as well have said 'you bastard' but that's not quite his style :]

Who wrote that script? That's definately not the original script and there could quite possibly be errors in it. I have the soundtrack to the movie and I've gone back and forth over that line repeatedly and I can't imagine it being anything other than, "you bastard."
Another possiblity is that they he says something different in the script so they could sneak that line in and claim it was, "young master," but I can't hear, "young master," when I hear the line. The only thing I can hear is, "you bastard."

Back then, they wouldn't even put the Disney name on Nightmare Before Christmas because it wasn't rated G, so they stuck a company they owned on it instead. There is no way they'd be poppin' out You Bastard's so plainly in this movie :(.
The missing orgy scene with Snow White and the seven dwarfs I totally buy, though.

Of all the Disney film sex-related urban legends, the only true one is The Rescuers one.

I think it's due to his british accent. But it's totally "young master".

young master. i think you're hearing what you want to hear.

Poor Zazu. Everyone picks on him.

And this must be why no one ever mentioned it before. Because no one ever heard it. I'll listen again, but I've gone back and forth over the line a thousand times trying to hear anything other than, "you bastard." Give me a minute while I do this.

I just listened to the line about twenty times in a row with my ears trained to hear "young master," each time only hearing, "you bastard." Why is it that everyone is so sure he says, "young master"? I just don't hear it.

Maybe if you're the only one who hears a swear it's because you're crazy. Or you've convinced yourself he's saying "bastard."
