Dude, I haven't played in a LONG TIME. I was still training for the Elite Four and I gave up because there weren't any trainers worth battling to give me enough exp. I'm still lvl. 50-ish.
How do you see what your friend code is?

You should be able to eventually grind effectively with a traded pokemens and a monster around 40-50.
