Is there a faster version of this game?

I used to pull off Blitz Ace a lot, so I know how fast it's executed.
However, I watched a friend play this game the other day, and his Blitz Ace was executed much faster, like 30% faster.
Why is this?
Is there some other version of which I've heard nothing?

I think you just got hit with a perspective difference. Blitz Ace seemed faster because you weren't the one trying to execute it. A good example of this would be when I watched my friend play Expert on GHII it looked super fast even though I play on expert all the time.

He played FFX on an N64 Transfer Pak and used the Dodrio function of the Gameboy player to speed it up.
