Help with the patient in the desert

Alright so I know that I am supposed to talk to a guy in the eastersands north bank village, but the thing is there is only a moogle there. Does anybody know what I'm supposed to do???????????

u have to go to the south bank and talk to the little boy near the boat and u will start the little sidequest where u have to find the flowering cactoid.

and after the sidequest, there's an event that a gigantic cactoid will come and all you have to do is talk to the woman nursing the patient then she'll say something about throwing the old cactoid flower then you just go to the back of the house. i think.
