The Decade thread.
What's your favorite decade in contemporary American history?
I say you can't beat the 60's. Awesome music, awesome hippies, and people finally waking up from the freakish conformity and "OMG commies are gonna nuke us! Better duck and cover!" mentality of the 50's.
I've got a bit of a soft spot for the 80's, too. Mostly the music.

90s because that's the only one I remember :p
-
'90s. I was alive for almost all of it, and it wasn't scary <3
-
A lot of great Disney films were made in the '90s. =O

80's. This isn't even up for debate.
-
20's :( Where are they?? ;_;
-
Where's the 40s? I wholeheartedly support the massacre of Jewish people and other non-conforming Germans.

Hums
50's, 60's, 70's
maybe 80's
The nineties saw the true revolution of :skull::skull::skull::skull: boybands. I could never love them no matter how I tried.

Hellooooooo. Civil rights movement, anyone? Out of the choices, the 60s are definitely the most interesting to study in terms of American history.
-
the nineties weren't lifeless! they were grungy xD
-
The 60's, by far. I'm fascinated by that time period. Social revolution, baby.

Decades of American history? My God, why are the 1920s absent? Really my favourite period of American history at all, though I've only ever bothered to research the twentieth century. Out of the ones that are there, I picked the 1950s.
