Gatta or Luzzu? (Spoilertastic)

I saw the closed thread, but I wanted to talk about it!

I'm trying out the Tidus only challenge right now, and I'm RIGHT at that part, and every time I go through I try killing Gatta, but I follow the guide, which told me the wrong thing!


SO to kill Gatta I have to talk to him twice and tell him he should be fighting both times, and I can't talk to Luzzu after seeing them argue.

Question: Do I HAVE to see this argument at all for Gatta to die? I skipped it and saved, but I have another save file further back if I have to witness it.

You don't have to. At least I don't think. I never knew there was an argument until the 40 time around. And I killed Gatta like......10 times. So no Probably not.

I never noticed it at all until I viewed that thread. In all three playthroughs of FFX I've managed, I've had Gatta die. I suppose I should try it the other way around.

Eeeeek! He died!


That totally gave me goosebumps when he just slumped over like that.
