I had been browsing the the glorious works known as 'nates notes' and felt inspired to do a realistic stylized animal (whut?) and found a picture of an adorable maine coon kitten.
It's very sketchy xD But it was fun to do.

I really like that a type of art! I wish I could do something like that!:D
I actually like the sketchy quality of it, it looks like some kind of experimental animation frame. Also, you chose as a reference a picture that in my opinion captures really well the kitty's nature and attitude, and therefore also your drawing does.
polaris, it's really very simple. The method I used was basically 'find picture, trace outlines of color blocks with the pen tool in photoshop and fill'. of course it turns out cooler if you don't trace, but 2am isn't the time for thatxD
reminds me of those black plates you used to have, and when you scratched on it, a silver line would appear..
i always used to make cats out of that
