A person named Tomas Hobbes said we were,
and personally I have to agree.
So what about you?
I am most certainly a selfish, wicked person. I'm one of the most self-centered people I know, and it makes me kind of sad, but I won't lie about it.
I'm so unselfish that when people talk about me, they cry due to knowing how generous and thoughtful I am.
I try not to be selfish or self centered, but for a long time I was very depressed and unhappy with my life and didn't realize how much I had to give to people so it's kind of hard to break out of that mindset. I try to do as much as I can for everyone I love/know, but self pity is always there lurking in the back of my mind. ;__;
I would say I'm not as selfish as I use to be. Wicked, well that's a different story.
I'm talking about
1) We're on the internet when we could be helping people
2) We probably eat more than what's neccesary for us to survive
3) We probably live with more luxuries than we need
and so on
No.
But I am. :D
Yes. We are all selfish creatures. :p
I don't really have too many necessities though, I live pretty plainly but I guess you are right. I just don't know how to help more than I already do. I don't have the money or time really to do anything but here and there.
As far as eating goes, I eat like a bird. So honestly not wasting any food.
And here I am making excuses.
SKT WHERE ARE YOU ;_;
SHAUNA I HATE YOU >:O
I'm bored and selfish and wicked ;_;
If we were inherently selfish and wicked we wouldn't be sat here talking to each other right now, since no scientific progress would be made if we were all stabbing each other in the back. On the contrary, scientific studies show that the opposite is true; that we're naturally altruistic and caring to one another. The only reason we appear selfish and wicked is because altruism is the norm, hence the assholes stand out more.
Nooooooo I'm a sweetie :D and I love the world!
1) Even the simplest of words can help someone in need. For a person lost in depression and fear, or pain, encouragment is the first step towards optomism
2) We dont nessisarily eat more. If people want to do so much about it then they should grow thier own. I mean the goverment is always like 'yadda yadda we have to help these people this and that' when the reality is if every MP gave up a 1/4 of thier years salary and put it towards national help in Africa it could cure poverty and set up much needed medical treatment stations, contribute to the rebuild of a once proud nation.
3) We do live with more luxuries than we need, but then again, so do alot of people. Again, read above.
Only angsty teenagers think we're all evil excuses for lifeforms and euthanasia is the only way to go.
