FFT:war of lions question

is there in easier way to find a person 2 multi battle with in your area...
i am wondering if u can answer this that would be great ^_^

I believe there was a pc part that is sold that you hook up to your pc and/or pc or something and other people hook up also and you end up playing people on other parts of the world through internet as if they are standing next to you! Can't remember more info about this now, anybody else know?
