Car ride! YAY!
I just got home from a lovely 18 hour non-stop car ride, which sadly I could not sleep and the view was full of cows. To the point though, that was my longest car ride, whats your longest car ride? And to where? I went from Northern Oregon to Southern California. :D
-
Once I rode in a car from southeastern Kentucky to some town that's north of Chicago; I think that trip lasted eight to ten hours.
-
From southwest Virginia to the top of West Virginia, almost in Maryland. Took about 7-8 hours. Great nap.
-
From Toronto to Orlando, Florida would be the longest. My brother has driven from Toronto to California, so he beats me.
PS: it was not fun to be on a bus with the same 50-70 people for that long. We started to hate each other by the end.

I am soon going to be making a similar 18 hour trip from Southwestern Washington to Southern California.
Well, sort of. Most of that first sentence is untrue. I will be making a trip from Southern California to Southwestern Washington. And it won't be soon. It will be in December. Yeah...
Anyways, I have made a few 8-12 hour trips before. Fun stuff.

Wow, and there was me thinking a 6 hour car journey to South Wales was bad :p
-
My longest without a sleep stop was from central Minnesota to Salt Lake City, Utah. That was about 20 hours driving, not counting rest stops I think.
-
El Cajon, California to Newport, Oregon. It was over the span of two days.
-
From Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Los Angeles, California. I'll never do it again.
-
St. Paul to Winnipeg in southern Ontario, I think? Altogether that takes about 10 hours.
-
Boyfriend and I drove down the California coast via the scenic route and the journey took 12 hours start to finish.
It was a beautiful ride.

It's close between the journey from Essex to Newquay, and the journey from Essex to Newcastle. Each should take like 5/6 hours but that doesn't happen when you get stuck in traffic. :(
-
From my home to the Northern area of Arkansas.
We were less than 30 miles from Missouri.
12 hours :rolleyes2
-
14 hours to Merrit Island, Florida.

Any car ride with my dad at the helm feels eternal, ironic as he drives very fast. He just bitches and moans the whole way and it makes it drag.
See, I keep thinking of bus rides. Car rides, car rides...
Aha! Driving up to Coniston from Morecambe, not because of the distance but for how long we drove around looking for a good spot to camp overnight (at least that was the plan anyway); we set off at 12 and I think it was getting late in the afternoon when we finally settled. It was a lot of fun, that weekend.
