.update for news.update, sports.update, windows.update etc. could be interesting, as would be .irc or .anime or .touhou, though there are sillier or cleverer ones out there :p

Before, there was a long process to get a TLD, and that's why we didn't have very many. (especially compared to the "real" part of a domain, the eyesonff for example). Recently, however, ICANN had been approving a lot of (some thought) silly TLDs that didn't have a lot of room for wide spread usage.Quote:
