When I was little my uncle told me that if you peeled an orange in one go, the peel would look like an elephant's head and I believed it for years. :(
I also believed my airing cupboard was a secret passage to Narnia or similar. :D

I thought GUM got stuck in your stomach for seven years if you swallowed, but so did my mom. I think she still thinks that actually.
