DS games for Grandma
Uh, I dunno if this is a weird question, but what are some good DS games for older people? My Grandma was given a Game Boy Advance a few months ago and recently upgraded to Game Boy Advance SP and we're getting her a DS lite for Christmas. Right now, she just plays tetris for hours and hours (seriously, like 6-8 hours a day) and that must be boring for her. So I'm looking for games that she can get into that aren't too intricate. She kicks ass as connect 4. Is there connect 4 for DS? She played cooking mama on my DS for a little bit, but I don't think she liked it.
Need some recommendations...

I lol'd at the title.
Tetris DS! :monster:
The matriarch of a family with which my family is friends enjoys Brain Age. She also has a crossword game.
You could get her something radical too, like Call of Duty DS.

Brain Age 1 and 2
New York Times Crosswords (or whatever it's called) - I have Crossword DS, but it's too easy and you need to do way too many puzzles to unlock anything harder.
One of those pornographic homebrew games OBVIOUSLY
Maybe Hotel Dusk if she'd like to try an interactive mystery novel :P

Sight Training! :)
Maybe not, but I think the Phoenix Wright series could appeal, maybe? If you're getting a crosswords game, I suggest The Sun's (I have The Sun's, NY Times' and CrossworDS. Also, maybe a sudoku game if she's into that.
Oh, and Animal Crossing! :jess:

Get Final Fantasy Tactics Advance or Final Fantasy III. Or Disgaea thats coming out. :p
Nah, seriously, get something like Nintendogs (if she likes animals) or Brainage.
-
I'd say puzzle games if she's into them, Phoenix Wright might be a good idea because it doesn't require much dexterity skillz and maybe get her one game amongst the bunch that's different than what she's used to. EXPAND HER RANGE.

I'm dissapointed that no one mentioned Picross. Every eldery person I know loves puzzles of that nature. Hell, I like it too.
-
Maybe Puzzle Quest? Expands the horizons while still being a puzzle game.
Not really sure. I think I recall some sort of Book Worm game, but I can't recall the title. It was some sort of word puzzle game.

Zoo Keeper? It's cute, simple, and fun.
The sound in that video clip is very bad.

Phoenix Wright series, definitely. Everyone, no matter the age, should get to play it. Have got my mom playing it at the moment actually http://img.photobucket.com/albums/10...appy/wacky.gif

You should stop making the assumption that the elderly just want to play puzzle games. Give her something entirely different and see what she thinks. I recommend Bangai-O Spirits.

My grandma loves Zoo Keeper and New York Times Crosswords to death.

As others have said, I imagine puzzle games will be your best bet.
-
You could always just go with Contra 4 and see what happens.

Are any of the GTA games on DS?
