SW or LOTR
This is an idea I've been tossing around in my head for quite some time, and I think it would be cool to get a big ol' group discussion on whether you'd rather be in the universe of-
Star Wars or Lord of the Rings!
I've had this discussion with quite a few people, and I've heard some interesting reactions, so if you decide to voice your opinion, please give the reason(s) why you came to that conclusion!

Lord of the Rings definitely. Arda is very well defined. The universe of Star Wars... less so.
-
Star Wars for me. It has lser swrdz and pew pew. What else do I need?!
-
I really love the idea of a fantasy universe which is the biggest reason why I keep watching and reading fantasy tales. However, the whole concept of magic in these universes really leave me with a sour taste in my mouth. If I could live in Middle Earth with out the wizardly... or if magic worked like it does in my mind... than I'll jump in with out a second thought.
And I didn't like the Lord of the Ring films.
Star Wars is interesting because its a science fiction universe that still has magic. So I have the same problems with it as I do with fantasy tales. I really don't like machinery to much. Much more in to nature, animals, and manpower. But... the Star Wars universe still has planets not to far advanced that that. So I wouldn't mind living in a Star Wars universe because I could get both my fix for primitive and futuristic tech.
I'll choose Lord of the Rings because I liked the creatures of fantasy better. But if I could choose a specific planet in the SW universe, than It'll be a much harder decision.

Definitely Lord of the Rings for me. I'd be an Elf who goes around knocking up women. Uh...women of Men? I don't know. Either way, I'd be awesome.
-
I'd be a hobbit in The Shire, smoking pipes and eating nth breakfasts all day.
-
Star Wars without a doubt. I could live on any number of planets with a variety of technology. While I might be weak in the ways of the force, technology pleases me in the way of life greatly. Over the years I have grown way more in terms of hating being around nature so I don't think I could really stand to survive in LOTR unless I was living in one of those bad ass mystic elf villages where everything seems to be in perfect condition XD
-
LOTR. It feels so magnificent. It feels more like a world and less like something fictional. Whatever that means.
-
See, for me, I would choose LOTR for any number of reasons. While I may have enjoyed the Star Wars movies more, I still think it would be a lot cooler and a lot more fun to fight with swords and bows than all these guns that would kill me in an instant. As for the magic part, I've always been more leaning toward wizard than warrior, although there wasn't as much magic in LOTR as I would think would be worth it to be a mage.

Lord of the Rings.
I'm been faithful to the books since I read them.
also elijah wood wut

I want to live in the Star Wars universe, so I can become a Sith lord or live among the Ewoks.
-
I'd want to be in the star wars universe except i would want to have really little connection with the force and like a really low midichlorian count but weild a light saber and become really awesome with it and become a Jedi version of Rock Lee, and the sith lords will be all like "super lightning powas" and i'll be like running really fast to dodge it. Then when im at a disadvantage i'll remove my special gravity increaser anklets and bracelets and be like 10 times faster. OH YEA!
Besides i didnt really 'get' Lord of the Rings. The main plot was pretty clear but all the side plots confused me.

Neither, they are both boring as

.
