My Challenge
With my lack of video games, I turn back to the classics. I talked about doing a challenge a while ago and now I am going to act on my word.
My Challenge: Do not ever go to the Party Roster screen the entire game. If forced there, must quit immediately. No special characters may be used.
I started and got that first battle done but that is it so far.
I'll keep you posted here.

Oh god, this is hard.
On the Dorter City battle and trying to maximize the abilities i pick up. It is not easy. Keeping two chemists alive is very hard in these early battles.
-
Got through Dorter city just barely and beat Brigand's Den with a hi-potion ability pick up for one of my chemists, a clutch thing
-
Oy, this sounds hard. Good luck.
-
This is an interesting challenge. I assume that this means that you will be using Squires and Chemists for the entire game? At least you can learn some abilities from crystallized enemies.
-
Essentially, the only real advancements I can make in Job is Radd and the Knight Twins, giving a little offensive relief.
Yeah it is crazy hard. First Wiegraf battle=crazy hard because of Delita.
-
Just beat chapter 1, now i get some relief, the only one of the game
-
Dumped all of my original squires for Radd and the two Knights, now game is a little easier but I dont know for how long. I was ecstatic when I learned that Radd had Phoenix Down, my only form of revival.
-
Not to put a shadow on this playthrough, but have you considered how you're going to defeat Wiegraf at the end of Chapter 3?
-
No, it is going to be a biznatch, I know.
-
So now I am on the Gallows battle with Gafgarion and just have to say it isnt that bad. Ramza as a squire is nice, Lavian as a knight, Ladd as a squire and my two chemists actually works pretty well ESPECIALLY with the recent addition of guns. The guns kick ass.
-
I always considered Rad, Lavian, and Alicia as special characters rather than generic characters.
-
I do not classify them as special characters because they have no special class. They are just a small relief in this case. BTW first Gafgarion fight=pretty bad.
-
Ok so we are going on the "one-on-one" fight with Gafgarion at Lionel and it is brutal, but I'm trying...
-
So I got through the fight sucessfully but lost Ladd in the process...picked up his phoenix down ability for one of my chemists and got the other one phoenix down through the summoner. I also got Aim+1 for one of my Knights.
