Okay, there might be a blatantly obvious answer to this question, but...
How do you level up magic and get spells early on? I'm at one of the bosses early on. Sergeant, I think. I can't beat him without any magic, and I can't seem to figure out how to learn spells. >_<
Spells are bought at shops inside towns and you use them as an item to teach a single character that spell. To level them up you just use them enough and they level up after so many uses.
You can also get some spells as drops from certain enemies.
You can cheat, too. :shifty: Confirm which spell you wish to use and then press B and confirm it again! Repeat this quite a few times. I think it works in both the NES and PSX version. Not so sure about the GBA one.
