I realize the main purpose of Save Points is to save the game, but which did you like the look of?
I liked how VII's looked for some reason, and VIII's looked pretty good to,, and I liked how it was part of the storyline. IX's was creative as well.

I liked how the ones in X restored your hp and mp. It was awfully nice of them but it made inns abit redundant.
I also liked the seizure inducing flash of FFVI's savepoints. you could run back and forth over them and pretend it's a rave.
Sparkly blue light~:save:
I voted for IX's moogles because they're charming little devils. As for plain looks, I can't really decide between VI's sparkles, IX's energy spheres in Memoria, X's globes and XII's crystals.
Without a doubt it's Moogles. Mognet was freaking awesome, as was the realism of having someone record your progress rather than "ooh, light....SAVE".
didn't you miss FF12's save crystal? Anyways I would have to go with 12 because it healed and you could teleport with some of them.
I like the moogle's diary too. I especially like the whumph noise it makes when it slams the book down.
go pom pom, i loved watching mog race across water, mountains, etc etc to get to zidane or who ever when they played the flute.
Moogles, I love playing the flute and then pressing O over and over till the mog got really pissed, it's funny what he starts saying.
Its a hard pick, its between three types of save points.
The one in VII is my first experience with a save point or one that is layed out in the enviroment and marked by an icon. Before VII I either played games that didn't save or ones where they let you save after a level or you had to go to the options menu and select memory card.
The Moogles in IX was just a neat idea no matter how you sliced it. You blew a whistle and the fuzzy guy would come up and let you use a tent and save by writing in book, sort of writing down the story as it progresses.
From practical standpoint its hard to argue the usefulness of the cystals in XII especially the teleport crystals. They restored you Hp/Mp, allowed to save, and let you teleport to any other teleport stone in world that you've visited.
I loved the moogles in FFIX, great idea to use them as save points. They're just too adorable!
FFIX's moogle actually had some gameplay purposes and were adorable!
Final Fantasy IX's save system is so far above any other that there is no point in even asking this question.
I think this is a first that we've had a thread on fav savepoints. My first was IX and it was unique with moogles, letters, and the flute. X was a lifesaver at times since it fully healed your party. XII's was also the same, but in addition it got rid of status ailments and some would let you teleport, if I were to go on by usefullness I would pick XII, but since IX is my favorite.........
FFX's mellow save point.
