Does anyone else ever see a roman numeral in real life (like III, VI, or IX) and associate it with it's corresponding FF game?
I especially do this with clocks (despite them having IIII instead of IV for some reason)

yes i do! But my dad taught me the roman numerals when i was younger so i guess its 50/50
i used to do that with the rocky films
I do it all the time.
No, but if someone ever says it's 6:10, I want to ask if it's 50 seconds.
Whenever I see the roman numeral IV, joy seeps from my insides in large quantities.
Take that however you want to take it.
IV
I have never seen a clock say IIII
Yes! It's time to rock out!

4 was written as IIII at first, it got changed to IV later on.
FFVII uses the IIII version in the Temple of Ancients, and many think it's an error, but I'm certain it was done on purpose.
When I see Roman numerals I actually think of Castlevania. You know, those blocks you get with the numerals on them? Power ups or something.
This screen from FF9 definately looks like a recollection of all the FF's.

If the clock uses IIII for four, I wonder why it doesn't use VIIII for nine?
I think it has something to do with symmetry.
