On the radio, they've been playing songs lately that I loved when I was in my tweens that I've not heard for years.

That used to be one of my favorite hip-hop songs when I was younger. It's soooo weird hearing it.
They were also playing that song by City High, "What Would You Do." That one was a shocker.

There's a lot of pop punk songs that I fell in love with back in my junior high days that still evoke some good memories. Stuff like The Used, The Ataris, Alkaline Trio. They're good to go back and listen to every now and again.
I used to be obsessed with the song Otherside by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. A long time ago, that was, I was before a teenager but I wasn’t much of a child. Hmm. Anyway, you know the deal, knowing it word for word and singing it all the time and thinking about it all the time and so on. I thought it was the best song in the world! But... it wasn’t me that lost interest, but circumstances intervened and drew us apart. I still think it’s a good song, but that passion I felt for it all those years ago has gone, and can never be rekindled. Could things have been different, if I hadn’t screwed up? I soothes me to think so, but you never can tell.

I used to Like Lacuna Coil about 7-8 years ago.
I still like a handful of their songs but now I realize that most of their material is dreck.

They haven't been around lately but they played at a memorial service for a friend that passed away recently. I used to go to all their shows at the Polish Hall when I was a tween.

I used to love that song. I'd dance around to it and live by it. Then I realized the looting and polluting were two of my favorite hobbies. Now he's dead to me.
