and they expect us to learn

So today in my reading class, we were learning how to use the school's library databases on the school website. One of the librarians was in our classroom and was demonstrating how to do a specific type of search, and when 9111 results popped up, she said "and we have over 9000 results." Which of course made me laugh, turn to my friend and say "Hey Kayla, over 9000," and make her laugh too.

When is the last time something like this has happened to you? Have you ever said something like that without realizing until someone laughed hysterically?

I like how you had to guide Kayla through that one.

I was about to ask if you were in a Cultural Anthropology class when this happened because, aside from the main point of the story, I had the exact same class experience today.

It's never happened to me, but my brother, during Japanese class, once caught his teacher say "you must...", and he interrupted him to say "die" in his best Ganon interpretation. You know, from the line "You dare bring light into my lair? You must die!"

I'm disappointed that you didn't loudly exclaim "OVER 9000!?" in a shocked voice. The librarian would've just thought you were new to computers, but somebody would have loved it.

And that somebody is me.

If you thought there being over 9,000 results was funny, imagine how much you would have laughed if there were over 10,000. Or over 50,000!

It's over 5,769,999!

Two of my friends were discussing some accounting business stuff (a total bore) while I was slurping on a soda...One of them happens to have ample breasts...Any how the other one said, ".....So just take that off and I'll see your top assets remaining...."

I nearly choked in laughter....
