Fortress

So I'm cruising through FF Wiki and discover a project that has been having some financial/production issues. The game itself is still unofficial but sources say its still being worked on and was only removed from the outsourced production team due to SE worrying about quality.

The interesting thing about this project is that its an action game based in the FFXII universe. Our possible next entry in the Ivalice Alliance? :shifty:

Wow, I didn't now this was set to be an Ivalice game. All the pics I've seen have looked great, but this game was in development by GRIN studios. If you don't know who they are, you should feel lucky - their last games were Wanted: Weapons of Fate, Terminator: Salvation, and Bionic Commando: Rearmed (I love colons in video games :( ). Those games have something in common, they all sucked. I'm actually glad they lost their jobs, you have no place in the industry if all you're going to do is make mediocre games. Sure, most of them were licenses so they could pay the bills, but that's not the kind of crap we need in this industry.

Hopefully someone good puts work into this. If they wanna stick to European devs, the Rocksteady guys earned my respect, tremendously, from Batman: Arkham Asylum although they'd have to step out the corridors and flesh out the outdoors a little more for something like this. Looking forward to further news.
