FFXII Solo Playthrough

I decided recently, with the inception of Eyes On Plays: Final Fantasy X, that I'd take a break from drama and creative literature and play FFXII again. It seems like every time I play this game I like it a little more, but I wanted to make it a little more difficult this time. I'm an obsessive power leveler, so FFXII has never been much of a challenge for me.

So I decided to go for a solo! I'm currently about to leave for Bhujerba, and I have to say that, so far, it has been a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Has anyone else here tried a solo on FFXII? Have any tips?

I beat that...Cocatrice thing. It was so tricky. When it got to the point where I only had to hit it one more time it went totally beserk and had a 7-hit combo before I hit it.
