You can find a few of these scattered throughout Memoria, they are card phantoms who you can challenge by pressing square rather than X when the ! icon shows up. If you're a card collector or just want a higher challenge than most card players give you, the phantoms generally have a higher AI and quite a few rare cards.
They are the true test of whether or not you are the master of tetra master :p
Thanks for the info, Just finished the game, a few things I'd like cleared up:
What was the giant eye? I cant remember if it was explained as my playthrough of the game was rather scattered, I have a theory the giant eye was necron which makes the final boss abit less random (before that I had a theory Zidane was the giant eye because of the whole scene with Dagger in the boat and how doesnt remember it).
Who was the girl who met Aramant when he was heading to Alexandria? She looks familiar but I cant put my finger on it
"Fear leads to anger, Anger leads to hate, Hate leads to suffering"... was there a Biggs and Wedge in this game? If so i cant remember them or i didnt come across them.
The giant eye is the bottom part of the Invincible airship. I don't think the game spells out exactly what it is that the eye does, but it has strong magic of some sort.
The girl who met Amarant was Lani, the bounty hunter who is hired along with Amarant to hunt you down and who you encounter a few times throughout the game.
There is no Biggs and Wedge in the game.
Nope. xD Personally, I think it's just to avoid confusion of names at the beginning of the game (first you're introduced to all of Tantalus, and then the characters the play... I'm pretty sure at least I would have been confused on my first playthrough), but I'm not sure.
They should've used Lani more later in the game, I don't even remember what happened to her.
Lani was awesome. It would've been cool to actually witness her sudden change from bitch into lonely and gagging for Amarant.
Nobody except Marcus is referred to by name, iirc. So either he lucked out with the correct name, or it was a case of multiple nameless characters in the play ("Cornelia's Lover" as opposed to "Marcus" for instance).
What was that crystal thing Dagger dropped when she was running to Zidane?
Also do you think Vivi dies?
Crystal thing was the Silver Pendant. Pretty freaking important to her, her heritage, and a royal symbol of Alexandria. Her leaving it is used to imply that nothing is more important to her than Zidane.
Vivi totally dies.
