Supposedly they could not be healed because they were turned to stone by their own free will (i.e. you can only be healed when you didn't do it to yourself) (i.e. Square couldn't think of a real way to prevent their stone so they came up with a weak excuse).
Tellah tried. I thought it was nice that they actually followed that angle up in game.
It was something like 'they can't be cured because they turned themselves into stone'
It'd ruin the plot (for that moment) if they did get healed, though!
I was really pissed of when (SPOILER)they came back at the end of the game. Really ruined the whole importance of their sacrifice.Quote:

I didn't really think so. Does every sacrifice have to involve dying?
Yes.
How lame. :-/
Was it explained how (SPOILER) they came back? I thought it was the Elder prayed for them to come back. That sounds like a lazy loop
Yes, yes it is.Quote:

I felt that it really cheapened the sacrifice.Quote:

Children cannot die.
(tm)Nintendo.
There is a Nintendo outside of America? Holy :bou::bou::bou::bou:!:huffy:
I was wonder what other 'people' played their Squaresofts on.
I was sad the first time I played through and they did that. :(
