And not one person in the world is surprised.

I am. I always thought he liked girls, judging by his music. o_O

Perhaps then he might be bisexual (both straight and gay), because he also flirted with girls a lot too.

My thought when I read it today was "Finally!".

There have been speculations concerning his sexuality forever. Hopefully he will be able to live an open and fulfilling life, now that his "secret" is out.

This isn't a surprise really. But it's still not a big deal imo. Unless you are a woman who was madly in love with him. The news might dampen your spirits a tad then.

This just in: Ricky Martin confesses that he also hasn't been relevant for 10 years, and that this is just a ploy to get people to talk about him again.

Yes, a facade is a deceptive outward appearance, which acts as a barrier to cover up who you really are to others.

Well, some people speculated for quite some time, but they couldn't confirm it unless he said so himself, which only now he did. At the same time, he flirted with many girls, which hinted otherwise, although they still speculated.

As with anyone who comes out, my response is, "So what?" It doesn't change my opinion of you as your sexual orientation doesn't mean anything to me.
