I think there's always some truth in jest. People may not always pour their hearts into a thread, but in that particular forum, I think they always expect a semi-serious comment from people.

It doesn't bother me, as long as they have a legitimate complaint/actual problem.

I make threads about sports nobody likes in The Lounge.
I repeatedly make threads in the continued hope that they will all fail and I will be the least successful member of EoFF in recent years.
